We pride ourselves in our approach to childcare. We have included some basic requirements and duties. If you join the VCNA Team, you will go through a very detailed training in combination with your current experience + love for children to ensure you are prepared serve families the VCNA Way.
Requirements
At least 21 years of age.
Must have two years of childcare experience or have attended an in-person Vision Care Nanny Agency Workshop.
You must pass a background check, complete a babysitting course, and become CPR certified.
You must have reliable transportation to and from jobs.
And, of course, you agree to act with professionalism and integrity at all times.
Nanny Responsibilities And Duties
Childcare & Supervision
Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times.
Engage in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and development.
Assist with feeding, bathing, and dressing as needed.
Meal Preparation & Feeding
Plan and prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children.
Follow any dietary restrictions or guidelines set by the parents.
Encourage good eating habits and proper table manners.
Light Housekeeping Related to the Children
Keep play areas, bedrooms, and common areas tidy.
Do children's laundry and organize their belongings.
Clean up after meals and activities.
Transportation & Activity Planning
Safely transport children to school, activities, and playdates if required.
Organize engaging outings, crafts, or educational experiences.
Assist with homework or learning activities.
Communication & Routine Management
Maintain open and clear communication with parents regarding the child’s day.
Follow and reinforce household routines, schedules, and discipline strategies.
Provide updates on milestones, behavior, and any concerns.
